Life Groups exist to create space outside of Sundays for authentic relationships and community. We hope that you find a safe place to know others and be known in your beauty and your brokenness. Our groups meet at different times and are sprinkled throughout the Twin Cities. We realize that starting with a group during a pandemic presents challenges and groups are doing their best to adapt.
Our groups that are open to new folks are welcoming, and are gathering virtually or outside with caution. It is helpful for leaders to have a bit of organizational skills and a healthy dose of hospitality and people skills. Expectations: Leaders need to display authenticity, hospitality, and curiosity, while being willing to facilitate the who, what, when, and where of a group.
Groups typically meet times a month and decide together how to intentionally share their time. Keep in touch with Cathy Solomon, Director of Community Life and participate in annual equipping opportunities. The Ehlebrachts have two teenage children, and the Life Group includes single adults as well as families with children ages infant through teen. The group desires to grow to be a supportive community, and the focus is on connecting Awaken attendees who live in or near Saint Paul. All are welcome! This group is for young ish families looking to share lots of laughter and good conversation over a potluck meal. Ian and Allie have an almostyear-old, and kids are welcome to be a part of the group. As a family, the Stewarts enjoy good music, delicious food, and exploring fun events in the area.
